Our Food...
The King's Head is a traditional English Pub on a busy, tourist high street so we offer what the majority of our customers want - traditional English fare, done well!
However, a basic menu doesn't have to be full of compromise, so we still endeavour to buy as much as possible from local suppliers and prepare as much as possible fresh to order. If you order something as simple as a chicken sandwich then you can rest assured that the bread is baked that morning from the bakery opposite us and the chicken breast is from a local butcher, with supplies from local farms, cooked from raw at the time you place your order.
All we ask is you allow a little extra time for us to prepare your food as it used to be; IE. before the phrase 'fast food' entered our vocabulary!
Our food serving times are:
IN SEASON* (Easter - New Year's Eve) OUT OF SEASON (Jan, Feb & March)
Monday - Saturday : 1200 - 2030 Monday - Sunday: 1200 - 1600 Sunday: 1200 - 1600
* (Season actually starts Mon 5th April for 2010)
